酒持田本店さんの「日本酒造りを楽しむ会」の酒米の稲刈りに参加しました。
残暑残る秋晴れの下、手刈りでの稲刈りです。
全身から汗が吹き出し想像以上の労働でしたが、黄金色に輝く稲束が積まれていく様子は美しく、達成感を感じました。
稲刈りが終われば、いよいよ酒造りへの工程へと進みます。

We participated in the sake rice harvesting for the “Sake Brewing Enjoyment Group” of Sake Mochida Honten. We harvested the rice by hand under a clear autumn sky with lingering summer heat. Sweat broke out all over my body, and the work was more strenuous than I had imagined, but the golden bundles of rice being piled up were beautiful, and I felt a sense of accomplishment. Once the rice harvest was over, the process of sake brewing began.
